Projects

Discover Your Doorstep currently offers a 1:1 project with the option of following this with weekly group walks, funded by Awards for All from the National Lottery.

Read on below to see if this is right for you.

This is not about what you can’t do, but what you can.

1:1 walks in five different settings around Exmouth

You will meet with Katie in Phear Park for a gentle introduction to the project over a hot drink, and then a stroll around, with the emphasis on noticing different things.

In the following sessions, we will visit a wood, the coast path, and the cycle paths (on foot!) where we will try out a range of activities, such as nature journaling, outdoor craft, and identifying plants, trees and shells.

The sessions are tailored towards you – your abilities, interests and what you want to get out of the project. Over the sessions, we build on relaxation, enjoyment and interest. It helps with fitness, and aims to leave you feeling a little better about your day.

If you live further afield, please still enquire. We see people from around East Devon and Exeter, from 18 years to over 90, as long as you are mobile over short distances.

Group Walks

If you do the 1:1 sessions and want more, we are here to support you. Our community of walkers in our regular group try a range of activities, suitable for all levels of fitness
